Birth of the Raionhato (Flashback)

He sat quietly in the small little cabin. Several people lay sleeping on straw mats, placed on the ground in rows. There were 3 rows in total and 8 mats for each row. The young man sat up on his mat located on the last row, his own mat the last in the row. His back rested against the wall behind him, his legs and arms folded. His brown eyes stared into a single candle across the room. The only source of light, though it was mostly for the slave master. The fat slob of man, more akin to a pig, liked to visit cabins every so often. This particular cabin was his favorite when the slaver felt like releasing stress. The numerous scars on the young man's body, from whip or bare fists, was a testament to the slavers cruelty. The youth allowed his eyes to close as he recalled the day he had been given away by his parents. The thought alone made him shake in anger. What frustrated him most was that he could not even recall thier faces. All he had left in this cruel world was his younger brother, Hayato.

His eyes open again as he looked at the person on the mat next to his. His younger brother was likely as damaged as he was, both inside and out, however Hayato had chosen to lash out at the world. Being the elder, Gambaldi felt obligated to defend Hayato; whether he be right or wrong. This had been the main cause of the majority of the scars on his body. He'd constantly defy the slavers if it ever meant his brother was to come to harm. Which in most cases the reason due to Hayato's barbed tongue. Gambaldi always felt his brother was much more savage than most.

The sound of snoring roused Gambaldi from his thoughts as his eyes opened and looked upon the source. Sprawled on the mat next to him was his brother, "He even sleeps like a savage," he said under his breath. He uncrossed his leg and gave Hayato a hard kick in the ribs to wake him. He offered no explanation for it, since he didn't feel obligated. Gam simply kept his arms folded and frowned at Hayato. This hadn't been the first he'd woken up Hayato in such a manner, though he doubted the kick hurt. Gam had not held back because he knew his brother was more durable most. This also was not the first time Gambaldi had done this, since Hayato was always such a noisy sleeper.

Sleeping peacefully, the young slave was having dreams filled with joy and snoring loudly while doing so. These dreams were filled with the suffering and agony of every slave owner that dared to put their hands on him and his older brother. Although Gambaldi received most of the punishment on his behalf, the young scrapper still bared his own scars from defiance. Unlike his brother, Hayato didn't know how to play the game properly. While Gambaldi showed obedience towards the masters, Hayato was quick to anger and didn't mind telling them how he really felt about how they were treating him. This usually resulted in Gam coming to his rescue and taking the beating for himself. This was the only thing Hayato would regret after lashing out against the slavers, and would occasionally apologize to his brother for causing it.

A sudden thud made contact with the sleeping slave's ribs and woke him up. He didn't react as he usually would, jumping up and whatnot, because he recognized the manner in which his older brother would usually cause him to awaken. Instead, Hayato slowly stood to his feet. "What the fuck do you want, Gamma?" He asked in a tired tone while he started rubbing his eyes.
