Alternative Characters and Storage Bank

Alternate Characters

Having an alternative character is fun, refreshing and a good change of pace for many of our members. But it isn't for everyone, and there are people who take advantage of it. So, here is the information regarding alternate characters.

• Each Alternate Character needs its own account, no sharing/doubling up on accounts
  
• A member can have as many alternative characters as they can maintain a HEALTHY activity for.
  
• Activity on alternate characters is stricter than those with just one.
  
• Members can permanently lose alternate characters if they fail to maintain activity with them.
  
• On our site, in general. The "main account" is consider the highest rank, or one with the most post messages.
  
• Your alternative characters can not be apart of the same village(s).
  
• Alternative characters can not be apart of the same clan
  
• Alternative characters can't share the same starting bonuses (Bijuu, Curse Seals, etc etc)
  
• Your account name, must be in reference to your character name, especially for alts. Having Billy as your account name, and your character name is Dokuri is extremely confusing to many of our newer members and staff.
  

General Information on Alternative Accounts

• After 2 Alternative Accounts, members are forced to start each new alt (short for alternative character) as a genin. This is to prevent high rank holding/saving
  
• Staff make it a policy not to limit accounts, but should staff notice inactivity on accounts, said member shall be warned, then if they still aren't maintaining activity, the character will be removed from play and the member given a finite amount of alts. (This circumvents inactive rules)
  
• Members who store characters, still MUST make new accounts for new characters, they are NOT allowed to store a character, and use that account to make a new alternative character.
  
• Accounts can not have conflicting interests with each other. (Can't be the Kage of two villages. Can't attack/invade the village your kage of. Can't have two characters in the same organization)
  
• Members are allowed limited interaction with there characters, but they can not benefit from there characters. (Giving items to alternative accounts, using third parties, implant hording etc etc)
  

Finally, I'm going to put this last because it can be of least importance, or of most importance to some.

If staff starts to notice all of your characters share common traits, personalities, goals, morals, agendas, ethic's and whatever else, staff will ask you to refrain from making alts in the future. We don't like to do this, but what is the point of an alt, if its just a copy of your current character. Alternative accounts aren't for members to play the "what if game" with characters. (What if I had picked Fuuinjutsu, instead of ninjutsu, lets make an alt and find out)

Character Storage Bank

On our site, we use our storage bank to hold characters for people who go on absences, are going to be inactive, or may have lost some of the passion for that particular character. We do not store characters as cheap escape routes, permanently, or holding legendary equipment.

• When storing a character in the bank, its important to understand that rank, and activity play a key part in placing them in the bank.
  
• Characters in fights/conflict resolution topic's can not store there characters.
  
• Kage's, S-Rank Ninja, and those holding legendary items/equipment techniques can not store there characters.
  
• If your account has been deemed inactive, you store them with a loss of ninja points
  
• When storing your character, you must use a new account for a new character. You can't use the same account for a new character.
  
• If you quit/were banned your character's become un-stored, even if you successfully stored them previously.
  

Finally, we've tried to make storage a convenient and easy way to help out your character, however things can often become difficult or hard when staff see's and knows characters are just being dumped in there when bored of them. Staff has a small time limit on characters, but don't worry, its 6 months.

When placing a character into the Storage Bank, its important to remember this isn't a permanent solution. You can store your character for 3 months. During which time staff will not pose any questions. After 3 months, staff (usually in one big check, some will be over 3 months, some under) will pm those users, both on the stored accounts, and there new ones asking if you wish to return that character to play. Those who don't respond or say not yet, have an additional 3 months of bank usage. At the end of that 3 month period, staff will pm all the accounts again. At the end of the 6 month period, characters who are in the bank, will be placed back out, either for staff usage, plot purposes or for the members to use.

Characters can only be stored for 6 months, any longer and it is at staff's digression either they remain or are placed back out.

The storage bank is a privilege not a right, one that can be taken away from members who aren't in good standing or continually cause trouble
