Name: Sakbyuki, Akuharu
Age: 15
Village: Kirigakure no Sato.
Rank: Genin.
A Brighter Storm || 明るい嵐 24lnfa10
Appearance: Simply put; in plain and mundane language that the layman would use, is that Akuharu is beautiful. This was not something put into play by his own design, but the genetics that conspired together throughout his conception. The two benefactors of his appearance are his Mother and Father, neither of whom he has met, but can infer enough from the two of them from his own visage. Both of them have been admitted by many to be two fine, if not exemplary definitions of their genders.
Taking away his Father's aristocratic appearance and his Mother's gentler features, Akuharu has retained the indefinite characteristic that is shared between them, a timeless quality to his appearance. The category of face that will remain beautiful and vigorous no matter the age it is found at.

A pale, alabaster tone of pigmentation glitters across his skin, glinting and hinting at the direction the sunlight should take, the sort of coercion that a doll's membrane might also demonstrate. His hair appears to take a fixed configuration, lightly wrapping itself around the back of his neck as it travels down towards his nape.
It generally appears that everything is well positioned and in place, in alignment and nicely shaped. So what is it that makes him most appealing to the eye? Perhaps it his own pair of optics that finish off his appearance so nicely, a pair of orbs, the colouration of these can vary with lighting, but by and large, they are a pair of amber eyes, feral, at odds with his orderly wardrobe and appearance.

Instead of having a designated uniform that he has an emotional attachment to, Akuharu tends to wear civilian clothing, not carrying weapon or headband. Openly anyway. Akuharu had the village insignia embossed on the tongues of his shoes. Which is to say that he nicked two headbands at the Graduation Ceremony because there was one spare. He then had the metal plating moulded into the top of his shoe, giving him a rather painful kick as they are essentially capped with steel.
He does however covert the same fishnet material that others of his profession also use for minor protection. He wears it sparingly however, and definitely not as underwear, instead leaving it wrapped around stomach, chest, forearms and calves. That said, he does have a typical form of adornment. Dressed in a fashion similar to a schoolboy traversing the dangers of secondary education with light blue shirt, belt and jeans, fashionably faded and ripped.

His musculature is benefiting one of his profession, and while he has not actively pursued the results of his lifestyle, he has received them nonetheless. His body is toned, to put it simply. The meylin sheaths that have endorsed his nervous system with heightened speed and reflexes typically of a trained professional clearly show around his body. Highlighted by enhanced physical make-up.
His hair is also benefiting of minor mention the keratin pigmentation is somewhat unstable. Uncertain as to what definite shade to choose, it often varies somewhat between shades of grey. Within high UV radiation environments, it is almost white, nary a few shades away. The less UV radiation present, the darker it becomes, settling for a very light grey at night.

Personality: Despite his harrowing upbringing(and perhaps it is youth that protected him, perhaps a simplicity of emotion or naivete that shields him from the greater horrors and replaces the expected fury with something calm and placating in its stead), Akuharu has no sinister intentions. He's grown accustomed to the idea and practice of killing, but in a desensitized and aloof manner; it is tedious work that can sometimes be profitable. However, the young man does not enjoy pain, and cannot rationalize enjoying inflicting it on others. His primary motivation is the pursuit of knowledge and lore; the secret hidden information of a culture that has thrived on existing in the shadows. He is convinced that the world retains mystery, beautiful and frightful things waiting to be understood that if...if...they could only be seen from the proper perspective...might yield treasures beyond any mortal man's wildest fantasies. Perhaps there is a bit of pirate still in him, after all these years.

He is kind and thoughtful, a young man of few friends but not out of an inability to keep or form them, but as protection for his own sincerity. It has been beaten into him nearly since birth that to assist the weak only makes them weaker, but his personal moral value judgments prevent him from taking pleasure in another's suffering or allowing it to knowingly continue without offering aid. He's possessed of a subtle intelligence that isn't remarkable enough to qualify as genius, but remains more than sufficient to navigate a world of double-meanings and cross-talk. Surprisingly, he's quite honest, preferring others know his genuine intentions, and assuming the same of them.

He speaks rarely, prone to prolonged and contemplative silences where he is more comfortable organizing the nightmarish kaleidoscope of memories and past pains experienced in the service of a madman. His disfigurement is a constant source of private shame; seldom few have ever even seen the scars covering his lower jaw and even fewer know the story behind them. This leads him to a reserved nature and an external locus of identity, basing his opinion of himself off of the opinions of others. But this does not completely strip away his pride.

He is confident in his own savage sense of honor reflected in a mature and tactical commitment to uncovering as much factual information possible about a particular situation before forming or expressing an opinion. His thoughts can be swayed, but the base ability to judge and be judged by others lies squarely within an empirical and cautiously analytic process.

Story:  Life was peaceful for Akuharu as a new member to a relatively small society that included a range of people. Being a seafaring town, it attracted a bunch of odd people. Ranging from the typical sailors, to the odd person who wanted to lie low for a while. Sometimes someone would come for them. Sometimes not. Sometimes it would be the person they wanted to come for them. And again, sometimes- it wasn't.
It was these events that drew the eye of Akuharu. The kicking, the screaming, begging and pleading. But it seemingly went unheard by the enforcers of the law. Whose stoic expressions indicated that they felt nothing of kindness or reservation for their squirming task.
Akuharu learnt first hand that Shinobi are cold, cruel, killing machines, taught from an early age that crying is a sign of weakness. And maybe he sought to imitate them. It was but a stage in his life, but it was one he explored nonetheless, and one could tell a myriad of tales as to how he demonstrated his attempted fortitude to pain and suffering. While it was noted upon by his parents, telling him to be more of a kid, lay his hair down and in general worry some over his continually distant expression. But it passed in time. He was a child after all. And still people came and left, some by happy, gay consent. Others by iron bound force.
All witnessed by formerly innocent orbs. But it was a fad that would soon be washed away by sheer necessity. Because in a world of Ninja, there must be Pirates. Pirates came. One of the more atypical hazards of being near the sea is the sea life. And pirates are a intricate part of that. In terms of skill, they could be considered the Samurai's bad cousin, while they use swords, there is a conspicuous absence of the usual rules that surrounded the procedures of the Samurai's way of life. There was no mannered, constructed order when the Pirates bore down on the town, firing flaming items rained down on the town.

Users of Ninjutsu where few and far between, but were treasured within the groups for this select ability. And used to great effect, naturally harnessing the powers of wind and water to great effect. And they brutally slaughtered the down, for no real rhyme or reason. Equally so, they took prisoners, with no exact discrimination, sometimes it was women, but mostly boys, such as Akuharu.
To keep the culture alive, you needed a continual influx of new blood. And some boys would be particularly welcome. Women as well, young girls, but they were a rarity, and typically they had a girl at each Port. It was a culture, and pillaging one small town was hardly going to attract all that much attention.
But it did.
A inquest was made, the resident overseer took some offence, and the next time the pirates pulled into port, it was to the tune of clinking Kunai. During the ensuring battle of Pirates and Shinobi, Akuharu was regrettably part of the Pirate offensive. And when they were soundly defeated, he was one of the few survivors. Having no real crimes to his head, there was not a true reason to convict. If you looked at the years, the initial crime itself that they were accused for was a little young for the child to take part in.
So his presence was swept under the rug and hidden away. Taken too the nearest Hidden Village, Akuharu became a ward of the state, recently graduating from the academy and all that jazz.

Of course, times have changed over time, and he was one of the few who could not simply be placed within a team and set off the fuel the economy and raise the general happiness level of the population by performing menial tasks. However, his circumstances were more then just a little...suspicious.

To any such administration, such a person posed a small issue. He came from a potentially volatile background, there was next to nothing known about the Pirate Culture, and his loyalty to the state was simply untested. And so began the series of trials and tribulations that spawned the next portion of his recorded life:
He was placed under the wing of one of the resident upper echelon Shinobi, a chuunin who went by the name of Yotsuba, Nara.
