Chasing Shadows of the Leaf [Yuuka vs Ataku] PvT invite only

There Yuuka was once again, in the training areas. This however was different from the last 3 she had been in, this was in a rocky area. A perfect cylinder being dug out, the walls of the cut out were not smooth, having bumps and cracks to be gripped for climbing. The Place was wide 30 meters in radius alone, the pit itself being 15 meters down. The floor itself was smooth, appearing to be unfurnished with terrain. However the place was inhabited by rocky pillars with a meter diameter, being spaced out systematically. The Pillars rose 10 meters, not quite to the surface. Every 2 meter another pillar would exist. It was to replicate the Iwa stone forest. This would be the place for the Spar between Ataku and Yuuka, round 2.

Yuuka waited below, the sun not quiet reaching where she stood. She stood there in her signature Kimono. Waiting for Ataku to make a move. They were both hidden from each other in the stone forest replicate. Yuuka's red Kimono, would take a darker shade but still be somewhat of an eyesore. She stood her hands at her sides, relaxed, content. The trick to handling a fight was to stay calm and collected. Even if it was a simple spar, emotions got the better of a Shinobi. In her case it was even more important, if she let her emotions win over her, a very bad and nasty side of her came out. A side which only 2 individuals in Konoha could probably handle.

Ataku sighed again as he keeps thinking to himself "how do i keeping getting myself in this situation, but i guess its destined to keep happening as long as i keep chasing after that flaming shadow of hers and Queen knows it." This terrain was built to be unforgiving to both of us, but more towards Ataku as the spaces between each of these earth pillars is two meters as ataku's scythe is a little longer than one meter. This is going to heavily restrict him if he doesnt deal with them before they become a nuisance.

Ataku Leads off by changing the position of tenro on his back moving the grip into an easy to reach position on the center of his back and removes Shibien from his sheath and uses Ethereal blades and Etheral blades: Ethereal replication to create a 2nd Shibien (440-120=320cr). The first thing Ataku needs to do is level this playing field, literally. Ataku has to guess that Yuuka is on the other side of the arena from him, so he slices the four nearest pillars infront of him and forms the hand seals for Wind release: Great Breakthrough, Tiger,Ox,Dog,Snake and forces the pillars to fall into the middle. He would wait for the dust to settle before he would make his next move prepping the first hand seal of Wind release stream, hare to clear the dust.

The Queen came up and noticed all of the young bee's getting ready to fight. Which was exactly not what she wanted. She wanted to train them, for them to show her the skills they learned. On the way over, The Queen had been thinking about such things. She really did want to get to know her ninja better, to understand them in such a way that they became a real part of her hive. Turning, she held up her hand, the milky white skin held almost absolute perfectly, save for the two bugs on her finger tips, each flew over to there respected combatants. Her eyes turned red as she watched them, saw them in all there entirety. There very chakra could no longer hide from her, and she carefully monitored them.

"Please stay yourselves, I wish to see how you've grown. My Flower Wasp Yuuka, you must learn to control that aggression, choose to instead fill it with the beauty of nature. My Gall Wasp, please be confident in yourself, let the mighty tree of Konoha shelter you, but do not be afraid to venture out. For you have grown strong during these times. Flower Wasp, show me those fires that burn brightly inside of you." Her voice was stern but also cautious, she had named these ninja. The Flower Wasp and Gall Wasp. Both would become powerful ninja, if only they grew in the right conditions. The Flower Wasp was up first, she was to show The Queen her fire jutsu's, giving them her all, shooting them off into the distance away from them both. The Gall Wasp would be after that, and perhaps if they were lucky, The Queen would teach them something as well. Something all wasps should have, stingers.

Yuuka could once again feel the strange eyes on her, the very ones she felt the day she entered the village. Someone was keeping vigilant eyes on her. In the distance covered by the pillars, Yuuka could here Ataku getting to work, pillars could be heard breaking and crashing, causing some dust. She remembered Ataku was a Weapons user and naturally possessed the wind element. She would need to approach this a different way than she had before.

Before Yuuka moved her position, there was a message from the Hokage. It was probably her whom Yuuka had felt. Yuuka moved rightward and consequently Ataku's left. As she move silently in the cover of the dust, she picked up two rocks the size of a pebble and kept it on her. She moved while Creating a Shadow clone who would climb up, the pillars still covered by the dust.

Ataku had used techniques to secure his advance but had given Yuuka the chance to get closer to him. To clone was on Ataku's right side. The clone would have formed seals in the cover of the climb but up in the air Raining down a dozen balls of fire, rapidly converging on his position in quick succession. The attack came from above, he would need to look up and to his right.

Yuuka herself was hidden behind a pillar, noting what was going on, was on his left side. What Ataku would miss would not only be Yuuka herself but Another Shadow clone stationed in front of him before he moved. Also hidden behind a pillar. The two would wait.

Ataku finishes his hand seals for wind release stream and blows all of the dust away. The first thing that comes to Ataku's mind is to take in his surroundings before even thinking about moving on to fight, he wasnt going to walk into the same thing as he did last time.

As he scans the cleared area of about 10 pillar circumference in the middle was reduced to rubble by the force of the other pillars collapsing. Ataku starts walking to the center of grounds to his makeshift arena. As Ataku makes his way to the middle he slices every pillar that comes within a meter of him, slicing them clean through but not knocking them over as they were his backup clan if things got a little to hasty.

As this is happening, Ataku hears the Hokage's voice. Ataku does not stop his motions as Queen speaks to them both through Ataku guesses is one of her bugs, she is an aburame and all so its the reasonable answer. Unsurprising that Queen didnt know his name, she didnt have the time to visit him in the hospital after the first spar. The one thing Ataku enjoyed out of what Queen said was the name, Gall wasp. A nice smirk came across his face as he heard it. The next thing after that really just ticked Ataku off, worsening the serious mood that Ataku chooses to exhale when he fights.

"A lack of self-confidence huh, My wind is the wind that is going to open up the heavens, and this Tree of Konoha is barely starting to bloom, you may be the powerful hive hanging off its tallest branch but the rest of the tree has been scorched by the fires of war and are just starting to heal. Its just now only able to shade a couple of people, the privileged ones like your precious flower wasp here. Her burns may have set the fire in my soul alight, but the wind giving it oxygen has been mine and mine alone. I'm going to make sure you know my name after this is over."

Ataku finishes speaking as he reaches the opening into his makeshift arena, and sees the welcome party of about a dozen fireballs. Ataku would then pull Tenro by its chain and spin it above him causing a tornado to form a moved Ataku liked to call spiral hell and absorbs all of the fire balls. Ataku places Tenro back into its former position and cuts the pillar the fire balls came from and heads back to the center of his makeshift arena.

"I know that Queen told you to show her your fire techniques but what fun is that in an arena like this?" A tint of arrogance and annoyance erupts from Ataku as this is the one thing deep down since that day he has been begging for, another chance to prove his worth, to show his strength gained from all his work, and to be noticed by those above him. Ataku has had no one to look over him since the master of his temple died. Since that day and since Kyo's death, Ataku has truly been alone in this cruel ninja world. Even since returning to the village, hes been having to meet people off of chance encounters, people he rarely sees outside of missions. Each day ends the same, with Ataku heading back to the barracks for Leaf ninja after a day alone.

Ataku knew that it something is up, Yuuka never used a hit and run tactic in their last spar, which screams that she must be hiding somewhere else and that was just a distraction. The only two options Ataku really sees here are just reducing every pillar here to rubble and making her come out, but Ataku used enough chakra as is. So he will just stand here, guard up and constantly searching around and wait till Yuuka shows herself to meet him face to face.

Yuuka was split between the decision, Ataku had defended against the fire phoenix sage by unchaining his custom scythe, abandoning a blade to wield the sycthe. He had made a Choice and so did Yuuka. It was an interesting Jutsu that absorbed her fire, but that was a mistake, he should have avoided it. For starters he left himself open for her and her 2nd clone, and another, Yuuka would soon show him how bodies of fire were dangerous. She could have very well taken the same fiery tornado he created and used it against him. However, ending too quick would be unfair chance to give Ataku a chance.

Surely he had improved. His Chakra reserves had boosted up by quiet the amount, he was infact around Yuuka's chakra reserves. She could feel that his body had improved. But his comments, surely his mind had been poisoned by something. Yuuka's first clone, the one who had chosen to reveal herself hopped off the pillar that was being cut, to the safety of one that had no been cut. Two of the clones had would have come together to form seals during the tornado. At the Clone's own expense the Jutsu would come, the wave of heat would be covered by the previous tornado fire, descending from above to burn a hole completely through his right shoulder. The clone was visible on his right side, up on a pillar. Ataku would regret not moving from his position.

The clone would retort, at the Changed Ataku. "No fun at all the way things are going." She would smile, the kitten had claws, she wasn't obligated to always be the nice person. If he wanted to dish out little snide comments then Yuuka would dish out hot words. That was infact exactly what Yuuka did. The clone from the covers of the pillar would have finished the Jutsu before her retort. Firey mice would split into 3 directions, appearing and disappearing through the pillars, creating a half circle around Ataku. The real Yuuka was still hidden, employing traditional Shinobi tactics. Getting too close to his weapons would cause a problem. Yuuka had the advantage of range. The mouse would move rapidly and in irregular beats. Appearing, disappearing and pausing behind the pillars. A 100 field mice would rapidly converge on Ataku from all sides, whether he moved or not these mice would follow him till now end.

Ataku looks back to the tips of the pillars and sees two Yuukas forming seals on the pillar next to the one he cut. Ataku sighs as all he wants in a straight up fight, but he guesses hes not going to get one as is. With Tenro re-sheathed, Ataku picks up shibien from his waist as a wave of fire comes at him. "I guess you plan was to use the fire in the tornado against me, smart but why wouldn't i have planned for that." Ataku spins quickly in a 360 sending the fire in the tornado around him in an area 20 meters around him in isolated blasts.

Ataku turns his attention to the wave of fire and just slashes it, snuffing all the oxygen out of the flames and stopping the fire in his tracks. The other Yuuka that had not poofed away after casting the wave of fire would reply to his comments with a nice snide little remark. Once again it seemed that the fire had been a distraction as a waves of fire mice started coming at him. He had not tried this technique without tenro before but with both swords it should be do-able. Ataku starts rotating his swords around him making a barrier of slicing wind just inside of his tornado. Ataku was not going to run from this fight. This is the best chance for Ataku to show the fruits of his training to Queen and make up for the thrashing he took last time. The barrier of slicing wind and the tornado made from the wind of Ethereal blades is enough to cut down the waves after waves of mice that would be coming at him.

(Math time woo. 3cr for wind release stream 20 total for barrier and spiral hell, and upkeep on Ethereal blades 48 and 5 for great breakthrough. 320-20-56=244 cr)

ooc: Hit, the Jutsu hand seals were already complete separately before they came together. The Mice Jutsu was done hidden behind a pillar from Clone 2.

So by the time you see the two clones together, the Jutsu's would have been complete and already hitting you.

Ataku had been slow on the uptake, He stood out, didn't move and had stayed in a defensive for too long. Though he had tried very hard to level out the arena to better suit his fighting style, it had taken too long. Yuuka had already out moved him, cornering and pinning him to his own battleground. The heat wave, would have struck right through his right shoulder, hitting a bone and a lung but missing the hear. The pain would be unbearable, worse than how she had burned him before, this time the man would need to seek medical attention before he would die from the sheer pain. Even the skin around him would be burning. Yuuka's mouse would crawl onto his feet, burying him knee deep. If he wanted to persist the fight it would be his death but Yuuka highly doubted he could continue. The two clones stood safe upon the untouched pillar. The real one still hidden from view.

Yuuka wondered if it was right. Attacking Ataku in such a manner. She had been trained in this manner. Relentlessly and fiercely by the Jounin of this very village. They would have detonated the mice But Yuuka let it be for the moment. She would stay hidden thinking, while the two clones parted once again, each taking the left side and right of Ataku, roughly 3 meters away. Was she ever smart mouthed when she trained? No, she would have never tried, they would have broken an arm or leg if she had even mouthed a single snide word. Then again Ataku was not quite her student, nor was he technically her equal. "You fresh blood Konoha Shinobi are always soft hearted. Always doing the merciful method. But this time it seems you're more like a Real Shinobi, Kaede-chan" The Niibi would speak inside her. Was it because she had created two clones? The Biju was draining more of her sanity away from her?

Yuuka looked at left hand, ready to detonate the Mice. She relaxed the hand. What was she thinking? Ataku, was a comrade and a Shinobi of Konoha as well.

OOC: ;-; getting dragged into fights i cant win

Ataku had been blind to the two Yuuka's after he cut the pillar and he was paying for it now, as a surge of heat pierced clean through his right shoulder. By the time Ataku can look over, a good chunk of the middle of his right shoulder is gone and his clothes are ablaze. "When" Ataku says as he drops to his knees from the shock, all of his jutsu deactivating. As he turns his eyes upward all he sees is a swarm of mice coming at him.

Helpless, Ataku just sits there, as the storm of rats flow up his body, Tenro in his left hand resting there. A small stream of tears flowing down off his face onto the mice, evaporating on touch to the flames. Ataku tries to talk but it hurts to even breath, actually he cant even catch it. Ataku gasping for air in the center of the rubble of the crushed pillars, sudden realization came to him that this was possibly the end. "Nothing" Ataku thinks. "Nothing has changed since the last time, if anything the gap had gotten wider. Why would Queen set up this rematch? Was it really to show how they have grown? Or was it for one if not both of them to learn a lesson?" These thoughts were the only thing racing through his heads to avoid the creeping feeling of death rolling to the front of his mind. Ataku had lost sight of the Yuukas and didnt really mind to get them back in his view since it looked like he was doomed anyway. Ataku slumps there, awaiting his judgement.

This time, medics had been at hand. Quickly coming to Ataku as the mouse were dispelled. Yuuka's clones poofed into white smoke, she herself coming out and looking at the burns she had left on Ataku. Ataku would make a great vanguard. If he trained himself to become a power house, he would be able to lead the charge into many battles. The fire was put out, as immediate treatment was given to him. The Medic was a master it appeared, filling in the missing skin while pulling out the dead and burnt. Already he had been put under with medication. They would leave him to sleep a while. Why was he so adamant in doing this? He was strong enough, Yuuka only had the edge through experience. She had been beat up more than he had been, that was the only reason why she had been in such a position. Yuuka would leave a message for him, "You are strong. Don't doubt yourself."

That was what she had been told once. It had gotten her through when she had doubted herself. For now she needed to leave and so she would. Where was the Hokage?

Ataku, just immobilized there with only really his sense of sound and his dead stare at a 45 degree angle down towards the ground giving him any insight on whats going on. His body numbed from shock, slumped with fire mice covering half his body. Wondering if it is the end, Ataku doesnt try to move a single muscle, even if he could as it would be wasted effort on his part as there is no possible escape.

"poof, poof, poof, poof" The mice start disappearing. Seems that Yuuka had either had her fill or taken pitty on the him. All he could hear next were the sounds of rapid footsteps coming towards him. "Must be the medics" Ataku thinks. "Atleast they were fully ready and on hand this time" As the rapid footsteps stopped, the next thing he heard and saw was Yuuka making her way to his slumped position. So many questions to ask her flow through his mind as stands there, "Why does it keep ending up like this? Why did you show pity on me? Will this game of follow the leader ever end with me catching up to you, or will i be stuck here chasing your shadow? As this last thought goes through his head the sedative injected into Ataku starts taking effect, slowing drifting into unconsciousness. The last thing Ataku hears before passing out is

The rashness of youth, it was a wonder The Queen had gotten though her own youth, even her own adulthood. It seemed the fire's of konoha burned brightly in these young bee's, such was a good thing. But too much and the tree risks being burnt down. The Queen was both impressed, and saddened the young bee's chose not to listen to their queen.

She walked over and helped gather up The Gall Wasp. It seemed his winds were not strong enough this time, perhaps once he learns to trust himself. They would walk back the hospital together. The Queen was going to make sure that the young wasp didn't harbor too much resentment. Perhaps she could finally get to know him, and understand what makes him who he is. Looking forward to learning about this young wasp was part of her resolution to be more involved in her ninja. Yuuka had run off again, such a busy busy bee.

The walk to the hospital was a long one for her, with the young wasp breathing shallow. The Queen did learn some new tricks, but sadly in comparison to the hurt ninja, it wasn't all perfection. She would have to teach this wasp, perhaps take him under her wing.
