Appearance: Kenshin is a handsome young man standing at 5"1', weighing 95 pounds due to the muscle he put on from years of training. He has medium length, combed, blond hair which he keeps styled at all times. His skin is pale white, no matter how much sun he gets and his eyes, hidden behind a pair of jet black sunglasses, are a crimson red, a mutation he's had since birth. He maintains a lean figure with some muscle no matter how much he eats, and despite his years of training with various dangerous weapons, there is not a single scar on his body. He tends to wear very basic clothes, preferring to be comfortable with anything he wears, as well as believing he looks good in anything. This means his attire usually consists of t-shirts and jeans, though he does don the traditional shinobi garb when requested to, even if he does bitch about it. He keeps a katana strapped to his back at all times, not leaving the house without it.

Personality: Kenshin likes to be the center of attention, always controlling the room he is in at the time. It's why he keeps such a focus on his appearance, always looking his best. As a result he has a bit of an ego, thinking of himself quite highly, and believing he's going to be the next big thing in the village. Yet this confidence has served him well through out the years, allowing him to put his all into everything he does. Kenshin is not lazy and will always give every task his all, wanting to make sure the task is done perfectly. He takes his training very seriously, knowing that while he is great, he must take the correct path to achieve further greatness. despite his ego, Kenshin is generally a nice guy. He's not the type to put down others to make his reputation rise, instead believing that everyone has greatness they can cultivate if they take the correct path. He is a firm believer that social standing means nothing in terms of achieving your goals, but that good social standing can assist in following the path. He is a boy without fear, jumping face first into any situation despite the consequences. Nothing scares him off, and while he does still feel fear, he is not one to cave into it. However, that combined with his confidence does tend to put him into situations that he may not be ready for. He puts a high value on family, believing that everyone in someone's family should be treated with respect. He as well puts a high value on relationships in general, guarding his friends and family closely. While is confident and somewhat goofy behavior may make him seem unreliable, he knows when a situation requires a serious attitude, and will push back his egotistic tendencies to do what is right. He is willing to help out wherever needed, even if the person who requires help is a stranger.
Story: Left on the steps of some strangers house. That's how Kenshin's life started. Maybe it was his strange red eyes, maybe it was a mistake, but the fact was, his parents didn't want him. Crying into the cold night, he was found as the young, 25 year old Renken found him. A responsible man despite his age, the young shinobi took the boy in, giving him a home and a family he needed. He raised Kenshin, teaching him everything he knew about being a shinobi, and more importantly being a man, showing him how important the path to greatness was. He gave Kenshin his trademark sunglasses, a way for the boy to deal with the only flaw he saw in himself, his eyes. This gave Kenshin the confidence to start the academy, knowing he would not be ridiculed for his strange mutation. With this new found confidence, Kenshin soared to the top of the class, impressing his classmates as well as teachers.
This flow continued until shortly after Kenshin's 11th birthday. Him and his friends went to explore the nearby ruins that Renken was in charge of investigating. Having heard his foster father talk about them all the time, he was sure he could handle them. Overconfident and foolish, he took his friends to the ruins, looking for treasure. Unprepared for the traps in the maze of stone walls, two of the genin almost died, a pit trap opening up beneath them. Kenshin managed to grab them in time, dropping his glasses at the same time. It was then that they saw his eyes for the first time. Kenshin pulled them up, expecting them to point it out. Yet they smiled at the boy, thanking him for saving their lives, not caring for the mutation Keshin had hid all these years.
Filled with a new confidence, Kenshin smiled as his friends left the ruins, the boy staying behind to find the glasses that his foster father had given to him. He had grown too used to them over the years to lose them. As Kenshin found them, the ruins started to collapse, a result of all the people moving through them. Renken turned to escape, but spotted Kenshin on his way out, swearing as he changed his path to save the boy from certain death, the ruins collapsing around him. He grabbed the boy, running swiftly as he tried to carry him out. Yet as they reached the entrance, a piece of the ceiling fell on top of them. In a quick move, Renken threw the boy out of the way, being crushed by the ceiling on his own.
Unable to move and slowly dying, Renken called Kenshin over. tears covered the boys face, the one parent he had dying before him. Renken smiled, telling him it would be alright. He knew that Kenshin was strong enough, and he told him how proud of him he was. He told the boy that he had one last gift for him, that he would use when he needed it. He placed a hand upon him, as pain surged through Kenshin's body, a three tomoe seal appearing on his chest right above his heart. Renken said goodbye to Kenshin as they boy past out, seeing his guardian for the last time.
Kenshin woke up in the hospital, sadness returning instantly to him as he remembered what happened. When he was released, he returned home to no one. On the table stood a wrapped gift with a card. Opening the card, the boy found it was written by Renken. It was a birthday gift he had no doubt planned to give the boy when he returned home. Tears returned to the boys face as he remembered what he lost, falling to the ground as it hit him once again. As he calmed down, he opened the gift, finding a new katana waiting for him inside. Vowing to following his guardians ideals, and follow the path of greatness, he began anew, realizing a limit to his confidence, knowing never to let it get someone killed again.
A few years later, Kenshin graduated from the academy, set back due to the tragedy his suffered. Yet as he graduated he set out on his path, greatness in his sights.

Boundaries: Killing those he considers family or friends is well beyond the line for him. He cherishes these people more then anything. He also sticks to what he believe is right, and will not follow orders that require him to do something that he believes is wrong.
