[flashback][CR training] Coping

Twilight was tossing and turning in her sleep. Her blankets and sheets had been flung off the bed and she was sweating like an athlete in running a marathon in a dessert. One didn't even need to touch her skin to feel the heat radiating off of her. She was having a nightmare. Which was no surprise. After all she had just revealed her secret to a large group of people, a large group of innocent people she had been so close to killing. She did actually kill the bandits who were also innocent in a way. They were retreating and she killed them despite having no right to do so and knowing it but doing so anyways. Her parents of course heard the rumors. They wanted an explanation from Twilight on what had happened. Thankfully they gave her a break and let her rest today but she was to inform them tomorrow though she doubt she would. Twilight just wanted to ignore it pretend it didn't happen and even if she knew she couldn't that didn't stop her from trying.

Twilight thought she had erased this from her memory. Apparently not. She was standing in a wet murky field with almost all of her siblings. There weren't actually blood related but they might as well have been. She had grown up with them ever since her mom died. A face she couldn't seem to remember. Now days the only mom that ever came to mind was Twilight's adoptive mom. However when people asked if Twilight had siblings she would always think of her fellow orphans she had grown up with.

In the distance the majority of the team of ninja that had brought the kids here were fighting the Sanbi. Most of them had died but they seemed to have a strategy in place that was working. Not that Twilight was paying attention to the strategy. She was reliving it all over again. The most noticeable emotion was fear. They didn't even know why they had been taken here and what was going to happen next was only going to make it worse. Only this time Twilight knew what was going to happen and she wished she'd wake up. Normally she would by now so why wasn't she? Eventually the Sanbi was subdued with a sealing barrier. Then came the truly horrific stuff. One by one the remaining ninja started taking Twilight siblings and attempting to put the Sanbi in them. Her brothers and sister would scream as their body rejected the bijuu. Their body was so desperate not to let it in it was destroying itself almost as if living with that thing wasn't worth living at all. One by one they were all taken until only Twilight was left. She tried to struggle to get away. She didn't want to die. Why was this happening to her? Resisting was futile and they began sealing it within her. It hurt like hell. The sealing processed was unrefined, yet for some reason her body decided it could live with it and it the pain stopped.

But that was not the end of the night mare oh no there was more to come. Twilight was escorting the caravan back to Taki when the bandits attacked. The fear from her stupid time in konoha was ever present. The anger at the bandits for choosing such an inopportune moment to attack. Then the red chakra began forming again. Enveloping her and overwhelming her with an odd sense of power. The little scratches from the kunais the bandits had throne healed  right up. Then she abused this power and killed the fleeing bandits. She then turned around to face the caravan yurning to spill more blood. After all they had discovered her secret right. They couldn't be allowed to live. This is where the dream gets worse. Instead of taking control she kept going. Murdering all the people she was suppose to protect. It didn't stop there. She continued on into the village and killed everyone there as well. The women the children the elderly everyone. After there was no life left in Taki the cloak finally faded. Twilight looked around only to see ruble. She had destroyed everything she ever knew.

Then Twilight was in a field with orphans and ninjas wait didn't she already have this dream. Some thing was different though. She was in the body of the Sanbi. She was enraged these foolish humans would dare attack her and even more enraged when they managed to subdue her. They then tried to seal her in some pathetic children. Twilight fought against the sealing with everything she had destroying the children one by one. Until there was only one left. Something was different about this one though. Yes this one was weak. She would have no problem getting this one to do her bidding until she finally is killed or kills herself. Then Twilight got an image of Taki burning. Flames everywhere people screaming and running around.

Twilight woke up screaming. After she realized it was just a dream a really really awful dream she noticed she was covered in the same red cloak. The tail was behind her she could feel the power coursing through her as well as the bijuu trying to force its will upon Twilight. This had to be another dream. This was driving her insane. Would the nightmare ever end. "Twilight are you alright?" Twilight's dad asked from down stairs. "Yea dad I'm fine" Twilight said with a highly irritated tone of voice. "Hey watch the attitude. I was just wondering if you were ok?" He yelled back. Twilight didn't bother answering. She was still convinced this was another nightmare. Twilight swore she was going to kill herself if these nightmares kept up. Then Twilight's dad knocked on the door. "You sure you're alright?" He asked. "Would you just leave me alone!" Twilight yelled at him. He didn't respond but Twilight heard him leave. He went and grabbed her mother though. Twilight's mom didn't even bother knocking she just walked right in and was about to start the conversation similar to how her dad had when she noticed the chakra that covered Twilight. She gasped and brought a hand to her mouth. Twilight just glared at her. Both stood in silence for some time however each second that passed was irritating Twilight more and more. Her mom knew what was going on but she didn't know what to do about it. She felt utterly useless. She couldn't even give words of encouragement. "Please tell me this is a nightmare." Twilight finally said. It didn't really matter dreaming or not this was a nightmare one way or another. "If this was a dream I would have been shocked awake by now." Her mother tried to joke. Which surprisingly worked. The Sanbi backed down. It wasn't going to win while Twilight had all this support. It needed to wait and bide its time. Twilight was going to crack eventually. He had already sown seed of guilt, fear, anger, and confusion. He had already won the battle he was just the only one who knew it. Though soon the rest would know. It was only a matter of time before he drove Twilight quite literally insane.
