Spy [Mission]

After the success of his last mission, Hiiru was ready to go back to work. His new mission, eliminate a spy from a small country. Night had crept upon Konoha and the streets were lit by the ambiance of the moon and outside shop lights; houses one by one turned out their lights as the residents went to sleep. Hiiru had next to no information on his target other than he or she wasn't a ninja and would be looking for secrets of the village. Hiiru thought to himself, If I were trying to keep village secrets I would keep them in the Hokage Building, so if I were trying to steal information that’s where I would go. Hiiru found a place to hide near the entrance so he could have a clear line of sight, but for safe measure he activated his Byakugan. Hiiru waited patiently, his target wasn’t trained in steal and therefore wouldn’t be smart enough to try anything.

There they were, Hiiru could see their chakra system fluctuating, they must be nervous. Because of the unsteady flow, Hiiru knew this wasn’t anyone who had trained their body to mold chakra. This had to be the spy. He let the person get near the building and as their foot touched the first step, he threw his right hand over their mouth and used his left hand to attack the person with Palm Bottom. Hiiru deactivated his Byakugan to find that the spy was a woman. “Please don’t hurt me, I’m just following orders,” the woman would be considered beautiful by others, but to Hiiru she didn’t arouse anything. The woman was near tears and continued on, “Really, I haven’t done anything. I just got here today and I was going to try breaking in to the Hokage’s office.”
Hiiru almost felt bad for the woman. Almost. Her attempt to enter the village was a success, so there must have been men guarding the gate, but trying to steal information was not her forte. The woman lied there motionless, and Hiiru was trying to figure out how to kill the woman, should he severe her brainstem, like Ibiki, or should he strangle her silently…

Hiiru decided a swift death would be better. He performed the hand seals to use Chakra Scalpel and quickly sliced her brainstem. Hiiru looked at the body, her mouth was agape, eyes fully open and blank, tears stains down the side of her face, and newly formed tears stagnant in her tear ducts. He didn’t get the immediate pleasure of a kill he did with Ibiki, this time it was delayed and he almost felt remorse for what he had done. Hiiru closed the woman’s eyes and lifted her as a groom would carry his bride. The woman’s figure was small and she was light. As Hiiru walked and snaked his way through the village he couldn’t help but to look at the woman, he guessed she would be twenty years old, maybe. The moonlight caught her golden hair, making it glow like a halo would on an angel, her skin was smooth indicating she had never worked a day of her life. Someone would miss her, she might have been someone’s wife, but she decided to take orders from the wrong person.

-5 CC Chakra Scalpel

He walked through the back streets of the village to not draw attention to himself, a seventeen year old boy carrying a pretty woman would give people the wrong idea. And it did, when Hiiru made his way beyond the Inuzuka Clan area, he ran into a drunkard who thought nasty things about the two. Hiiru continued on, he walked a distance into the cropping of trees until he found a suitable clearing to burn the body as the mission had said. Hiiru placed the body down and started digging, so the fire wouldn’t get out of control. Digging the hole took him a while because he made it deep enough for the body to fit, he then had to gather twigs and tender to start the fire. He placed the ingredients to begin the fire in the trench and then the woman, he set the fire ablaze with matches on the tender. Then, he caught the end of her dress on fire to make sure the fire burned well.

Hiiru stayed to ensure the body was completely disposed of. The smell of burning flesh was a smell he didn’t enjoy, but he endured it for the sake of the mission and the village. If the mission said destroy the body he would do so. It was almost painful to watch as the heat grew so intense in the pit that the flesh began to melt and peel away from her body, and then there was the crackle of wood that Hiiru occasionally thought was the snapping of her bones. He also had to restock the fire a few times through the night, the body had taken quite some time to dispose of and the sun was beginning to rise on the horizon.

Hiiru filled in the soil that he had removed from the earth. Hopefully, the Inuzuka won’t be bothered by the smell, Hiiru thought. It wasn’t something he had considered before doing this, he was just thinking that he had to burn the body and didn’t want to risk doing outside the village. As the sun crested the walls of Konoha, Hiiru was on his way back to the Hokage’s building. The smell of smoke was on his skin and clothes, as was dirt and sweat from working through the night. Hiiru informed one of the guards outside the Hokage’s office that his mission was complete and informed them of where he had disposed of the body. One guard entered the Hokage’s office and returned with his reward.

Hiiru left the Administrative District heading straight home. He wanted to wash his clothes and take a shower to get the smell of smoke off of himself. As Hiiru entered his home, he saw that his father was out of the house, probably training, and that he was alone. He stripped off his clothes and dropped them outside his shower stall, after washing the soot off of his skin and scrubbing away the smell of the smoke he brought his clothes to the wash bin and left them there to soak. Hiiru crawled into his bed thinking about the mission he had just completed, he wondered if he could have just erased her memories or done something so that she forgot anything she might have learned. He pondered these things as he drifted into a dream state and also decided that he would visit his mother’s grave when he woke up. As Hiiru slept, he dreamt of performing surgeries on people to augment their strength, improve their immunity to diseases, and condition their bodies to withstand pain. They say the subconscious reveals what we really feel…
