Mission Cranks [Large Mission Thread]

[OOC: Every 4 Posts, I shall post a spoiler containing the mission I am currently doing. This is a mass mission topic, and I would appreciate it if no one else posted on this.]

Mission 1:

Katsumi was determined to start off her genin life with a bang, and decided that doing a large number of missions for the village was the way to go, considering the village had a surplus of small missions that other members of the village didn't quite feel like taking them, so she thought she would do them. The first one that she applied and got accepted for, was a mission to find a cat. The mission scroll didn't have any information on the cat, so Katsumi figured that she would have to go to the woman who's cat it was to ask for information, but then again, how would she do that, being too shy to speak and all that. Still, she would make her way through the village, her collar protecting her face from the light winds and sand that came with them, as she walked towards the woman's house.

Katsumi finally made her way to the house of the woman that was missing her cat, and gently knocked on the door. On the way there, she figured out how she would communicate with the woman, and she simply brought out a small piece of paper and a pencil, as everyone should probably have on them, and would write to the woman. The lady opened the door, and she looked fairly sad, but not really distraught or anything of the like. Katsumi showed the woman the mission scroll, and wrote on the paper, asking what the cat looked like, and it seemed that the cat was a simply calico, and was orange, black, and white in color, and a little fat. This was probably enough information to go on, as she also had on a pink collar that said her name, which was a stereotypical name called Mittens. Katsumi didn't think that that name was very good for a cat, considering that it was expected to be something cute like that.

Katsumi started running through the village, hopping from roof to roof, attempting to catch a glimpse of the cat, which she didn't even know if they wanted to go back, but it had to be done. She was a little worried about the cat, as the heat of the summer and the sand could cause more harm to the cat than predators, but even so, there were also snakes and scorpions out and about, and there still needed to be caution when approaching the cat as well, since the cat might be scared or something of the sort. She was searching under shady areas, as she figured a small animal would be hiding under cool spots to avoid the blazing heat, and eventually, she confirmed her suspicions, as she saw the cat sitting under an awning, simply taking a nap. Katsumi decided to slowly walk up to it, and the cat seemed to wake up, but then not care, and go back to sleep.

Katsumi picked up the cat, and cradled it, petting it's soft head, and it seemed to enjoy it enough to where the cat simply fell asleep again in her arms. She would have to get the cat back to the owner, but this seemed simple enough, and she hoped that this wouldn't turn out to be any harder than this, considering she was ready to complete another mission, as this one was easy enough to only take an hour or so, and there were plenty of backed up missions that the village would want completed. She would gently carry the cat to her owner, after checking the collar to make sure she was the right cat of course, but then she would reunite them. The owner acted very worried, and hugged the cat, and the cat just walked over into the house and fell asleep. Katsumi would fill out the mission report and be done with it.

Mission 2:

Katsumi found herself back at the administration office, the heat sort of getting to her, so with the money she had just earned, she spent a small amount of it on a bottle of cold water, before returning to the mission office and requesting another one. The woman behind the counter smiled, as her selecting a mission by pointing at it was slightly humorous. This time it was to find a dog. The animal missions would most likely become her favorite, because she loved most animals, accept ones that looked like they would be slimy or sticky, and even then, she just avoided those. A little girl had her puppy gone missing, and it was up to Katsumi to return it to her quickly. Katsumi would take a sip, and then go towards the little girl's house, so that she could find out more about the appearance of the dog.

The wind slightly burned her face, as she made her way quickly to the little girl's house, and gently knocked on the door. The door opened, to a large man that appeared to be the girl's father, excited and a bit relieved to see a ninja finally responding to the mission request. The mission had been out for a few days, so they were getting worried for their small furry friend. Katsumi wrote and asked what the puppy looked like, and it was a simple labrador retriever puppy, and it was golden in color. This information was useful, and Katsumi would bid them farewell, and then start heading out towards the village. The puppy didn't have a collar or any other discernible features, so it might be difficult to find the right dog, should there be more than one dog that was of that species, then it would be a bit more difficult and time consuming. There were also the wild animals that would need to be worried about.

As she scouted the village, there didn't seem to be any signs of the dog, she couldn't even see any paw prints. After a while, Katsumi saw some paw prints that still seemed to be fresh, as the sand hadn't shifted and washed them away yet, and so she followed them. They looked a lot bigger than that of a puppy, and it turned out that they were a coyote's paw prints. This would normally be a bad thing, but the coyote had the puppy she was looking for trapped in a corner of a fence. Katsumi would put herself in front of the small cowering puppy, and would use her dance of the willow, sprouting numerous sharp bones from her body, and even though she had gotten used to it, she still didn't enjoy the sensation of her bones piercing through her skin. The coyote got slightly scared and ran away, and she would retract the bones back into her body, and then pet the puppy, making sure it knew she was friendly.

The puppy finally stopped wetting itself for enough time to where she started warming up to Katsumi, and soon the puppy was licking her face, and Katsumi had to calm it down a bit and rinse it off with her water bottle, as the urine might have gotten it sick if it was allowed to draw on him, or perhaps it would spread a disease to the owner, she didn't really know, she wasn't a medical ninja. She would then take it back to it's original owner, carrying it in her arms because it was too tired from running from the larger dog to actually do anything and move anywhere. The owner thanked her, and then woke the little girl up, who was taking a nap, and she was very happy. This put a large smile on Katsumi's face, as she loved helping people. She would then head back to the mission office to complete the mission, and perhaps take a break for lunch.

Mission 3:

Another lost animal mission, but this time, the animal wasn't quite lost, but instead it was released into the village to roam about and for a ninja to catch, to check their skill and reaction time, or something of the sort. It was a small pig, which was covered in grease, presumably to make it more difficult to catch with simply your bare hands. Katsumi thought about it, and realized she didn't really have anything to capture it without simply grabbing it, but she was thinking of a strategy as she walked out of the mission office to go find it. First, she would ask around the village to see if anyone had seen the pig she was looking for. Then she figured that she could capture it using her Dance of the Willow, as long as she didn't make her bones sharp, and just used them as a lock and to extend her limbs.

Katsumi would then begin walking around the village, towards the center, not because she had any knowledge of how to track an animal, but simply because the closer to the center of the village you get, the more people there are to ask if they had seen the pig anywhere. This was one of the missions that weren't quite important, but when she took the mission, they released the pig into town and then told her to get it, after it had a five minute head start. She wondered if she should have been doing a more important or exciting mission, but she was simply going in order from the lowest ranked missions, as she was still inexperienced. As she was walking through the town, holding up the same hand written sign that asked if they had seen the pig, there were an increasing number of people that had said they had seen it, so she followed that trail.

The petite woman would finally find the pig, shoving it's nose in a small tuft of dead grass, and Katsumi would walk towards the pig, and soon it would see her getting closer and suddenly take off running. Katsumi would run through the streets, chasing it and weaving her way out of collision courses with the other villagers using her dance moves, and although she was blushing because of the situation, the villagers new all too well that this was a popular mission to slightly haze the newer genin, and simply gave a smile and a light chuckle at her doing her thing. She finally caught up with the pig, and grabbed it, but it slipped through her fingers, and she fell forward. However, a quick tuck and roll allowed her to regain her footing and continue the chase, this time corralling the swine into a corner. The pig seemed scared, so Katsumi took off her cape, and slowly wiped off the grease, until the pig calmed down.

With a cute little piglet in her arms, the young woman would make her way back to the administration building, and she would deliver the pig to the two that were manning the station. They laughed at her and she blushed, before simply handing in her mission statement and heading home, with her cloak covered in grease from the pig. She was slightly irritated that the people of the village would make a mission just for a joke and to mess with the younger villagers for amusement, instead of helping them become better, but she couldn't really be angry for too long. Still, she was going to have to work hard o get the grease out of this cloak, and even more so because the sand was starting to collect on the grease as well. She started to pick up the pace towards her house because she didn't want the grease to stain her cape, and she was about done with missions for the day. She had fun helping the animals though.
