Wolf and Tree Empty
PostSubject: Wolf and Tree   Wolf and Tree Empty3/23/2014, 11:51 am

Kiseichu stared out at his current enemy, a pitiful shinoi from Sunagakure no Sat. What he was doing here in The Land of Water was unknown, but all Kiseichu know was that he needed  to remove him from the area by force. Two small rowboats were spread out apron the vast lake that covered the area, it being easily several kilometers in length in ever direction. The wooden fishing boat to the east, where the sun was rising contained the small Mizukage, wearing his usual silken garb with the red sash he used as a belt. To the west, directly where the sun was shining down would be wooden rowboat floated, containing the Sand Ninja. These two boats were 20 meters away from each other, both of them having the front of the boat pointing towards each other, a small amount of mist in the air creating a light chill that tainted the heat of the early sun. The lake was entirely still, no current or movement in the water, and most fish and other aquatic life were calm in the morning water.

Forming the Tiger Handsign, the young Mizukage would mold suiton chakra around himself, the top water of the lake rising quickly into a thick mist that covered the area - Hiding in Mist Technique. The thick foggy mist spread out 75 meters in every direction from the caster's location, easily swallowing both his boat and the other's. With that finished, he reached down into sash he had tied around his waist, activating a few of the seals that covered the fabric's inside, hidden from sight. Pulling out a single flash bomb as well as three kunai, he went about his battle plan.

920 CR
-1.25 Hiding in Mist Technique
= 918.5 CR

Throwing the flash bomb in a high ark in the direction where the boy was - He could still sense him with Kisei's sensory skills, and would adjust his aim should the boy move - setting the bomb to land in his boat from above. At the same time used his other hand to throw the three kunai, one being set to hit around the boy's neck, one set to hit at his chest, and the other to strike him in his crotch should he have not moved or ducked. And should he have moved the aim would be adjusted accordingly.

Wolf and Tree Empty
PostSubject: Re: Wolf and Tree   Wolf and Tree Empty3/23/2014, 1:26 pm

Another day came that brought to us yet another battle. This time the two shitheads that wanted to raise above fodder, like maggots crawling through the ground to reach the sunlight, had a huge skill gap between them. On one side, the man that needed no special introduction as he was known through the ninja world as the champion of Kirigakure no Sato, Kiseichu stood on his mighty boat named the Fish Stick. The other boat had another captain, one way less famous, the Demon of the Sand, Kaizu Kuou. Kaizu possessed vast knowledge about his opponent, for example he even knew that he was a Mizukage. And yeah, that's where his vast knowledge stopped without being able to pull even one useful logical conclusion for it. Of course, there were assumptions that the Mizukage possessed the Suiton element but assumptions often get you killed so it would be entirely dumb to take that into account. Certainly, Kaizu managed to find both comforting positive and negative aspects from that knowledge. For example, losing to a Kage as a genin was no big deal although it definitely lowered his chance to win. On the other hand, winning against a Kage would earn him great respect and fame, and who knows maybe earn him the title of the most promising genin in the year of 2014. When realizing that the thoughts were overburdening him, Kaizu decided that it was for the best if he left them locked somewhere deep within his mind before the battle starts so he could focus as much as possible. He knew from experience that emotions rarely found a place in a battle, causing far more bad than good which was never good.

The battle was soon going to begin between the two captains whose boats found their place on a nice little big lake located in the Water Country. This was both an advantage and a disadvantage for Kaizu who possessed the elements of Doton and Suiton. Having huge amounts of water around you, ready to be manipulated into powerful jutsus definitely served as a plus to Kaizu. However, that kinda removed his Doton element from play, not completely but for the most part. His only option was to find some ground where he would become a far more potent force, which would significantly raise his chance of overcoming the Mizukage in a tight battle. With no sight of the shore for endless kilometers, finding it was not really an option. Luckily it was not unusual for large lakes to have small islands scattered all across its size. This lake was normally not an exception to this rule so it resembled ninety nine percent of the lakes in the Water Country. Kaizu concluded that by taking the battle there he would have a better chance of winning so a plan was slowly being created within the genins head. The nearest island was conveniently so close that Kaizu was able to jump from his boat onto it. Shape of the island was rather weird because it was completely round, and when I say round I'm talking about perfect geometrical circle round. The radius of the circle-ish island was roughly ten meters, so it wasn't so huge like Kaizu really wanted it to be but it's not like he got to choose anyways, right? The island itself did not offer much stuff that served as a cover. It had a few trees scattered around it but the young genin was not so much interested in trees as he was in rocks. The thing was that the island had some huge rocks on it, while some of them even reached one meter in size while being as long. You could basically say that they looked like cubes. Kaizu laughed at the island that had all those perfect geometrical shapes on it.

An island being so near told Kaizu another thing, the water around it couldn't be so deep which also kinda worked in the young genin favor. Although at first complete advantage went towards the Mizukage, after giving it much thought Kaizu knew that the real truth was way different and that they were both fighting on somewhat equal grounds. Too bad the Mizukage had no islands that would aid him and the closest one to him was the one that Kaizu could easily spit on. Because the distance between the two boats was only twenty meters Kaizu knew that even below Kisei's boat it wasn't deep, at best the ground was one meter below the water surface. This was also convenient for Kaizu's Doton moves.

Moment before the battle begins...

Both shinobi started moving almost simultaneously, maybe a few microseconds of delay between them. That just meant how eager they were to win this match. The Mizukage wasted no time and did the Tiger seal in order to take all the advantage he could from his sensory ability. Kaizu did not posses any knowledge in that combat style so the more this fight went on the higher likelihood was that the Kage would emerge victorious. Kaizu recognized what was going on the moment he saw that water around him started evaporating and thickening the mist to such a point that soon the part of the area will get covered by it and nothing could be seen by someone with Kaizu's capabilities. Normally while that was happening Kaizu did not just stand there like a retard doing nothing, because as mentioned before he started his own attack when his opponent decided to call the mist as an ally. Sadly, he couldn't perfectly counter the mist jutsu as he wanted to but there was no time to waste on just taking everything into your mind while physically doing nothing. The technique that Kaizu was performing was an Earth Release one and despite having a couple more handseals than Kisei's technique it would be executed almost at the same time as the mist technique because of the fact that it takes some time to raise such a powerful mist. The orange haired genin was hearing the results of his attack and he was able to picture almost perfectly what was happening only twenty meters ahead of him. The ground below the boat was spinning inwards on itself ready to bury the famous Mizukage alive which would undoubtedly result in his very sad but not forgotten death. Kaizu, for shits and giggles, even imagined Kisei's face on that boat when everything around him started shaking and it was almost impossible to stand there due to the fact that the boat was on the water, and common sense says that water isn't really the most still surface.

But Kaizu was not a stupid genin. If there was any chance for the Mizukage to survive Kaizu's initial attack, he prepared to bury that hope. Suna genin remembered how everything looked before the mist went up just for the possibility of Kisei escaping his doom by trying to get out of the boat, which was already really hard if not impossible because of the previously mentioned reasons. Like a true weapon master Kaizu unsheathed his legendary sword and swung with it with all his might covering any exit plan the Mizukage might have had. If he even dared to jump out of the boat to save himself, whether left or right, forward or backward the sword was definitely going to split his body into half just at the start of his jump coming from above. The best part was that the Mizukage had no way of knowing that the sword could extend or even that it was coming because he foolishly triggered a mist technique, not that it would help him much even if he knew.

Wolf and Tree Empty
PostSubject: Re: Wolf and Tree   Wolf and Tree Empty3/23/2014, 2:10 pm

Panic set in at the first feeling of movement below him, the water around the boat rippling and beginning to swirl around in some sort of vortex that would most likely form into some sort of attack. Whether this technique was using Suiton, Fuuton, or Doton, it was extremely concerning to have something like that happen under you, especially when you were on a very unstill object like a boat, each movement underwater turning into a shockwave at the surface. This mess of movement in the water likely woke up the several hundred fish that Kiseichu assumed was living in this huge lake. It was unfortunate that they wouldn't be able to rest, but that didn't bother him too much at the moment, having much different things he would have to worry about. He was sure a decent portion of the fish would end up dead from the fight that would go on here, and although it was a shame it had to be done. His life was much more valuable to him than any fish.

Just after he had felt the first vibration and movement from the water under the boat, he took his hand away from the seals on the sash, not bothering to take any weapons out. As the boat began to swirl and be come unstable, that was Kiseichu's moment to ditch the area like it was on fire, not wanting to be killed by any sort of vortex in the water. He was prepared to leave the boat and jump out, before he noticed something else happening. The boy had jumped over to the small island for cover, which would work perfectly for him. It gave him little room to escape his attacks, and since the island was completely made of loose rock and set in an awkward position, the surface of it being slanted up to a high degree as if it were a mountain, a few rocks and trees being around the base. With the steep surface of the incline of the island as well as the unstable footing it would make it hard for the genin to focus with his attacks, much less aim them. That and it left him in a very easy to find area, his reduced mobility making it harder for him to dodge attacks. What he noticed coming from him after this was strange though. He could sense the boy's chakra rushing towards him in three long lines, sweeping up from above in an ark that was slightly tilted to the side. He must have been using some sort of jutsu or specialized chakra conductive wire to use this attack. This made going to either side a bad idea.

Of course, he never planned on it. He planned on going in another direction. Straight up. Just as the boat began to speed up and swirl, and the moment that the boy began his ark with the chakra wire, the Mizukage jumped directly up and out of the boat, his ability in taijutsu and relatively impressive strength allowing him to raise himself up 10 meters above the surface of the boat, completely allowing the boat to be crushed down into the vortex. And as he had jumped before the sword had even reached the half way point in it's ark towards his previous location, it allowed him to dodge it simply by not being where the attack was directed, the sword passing under him in it's ark harmlessly. As it came down it would slice his boat in half, and since the genin had foolishly used his long sword to attack from above while using a vortex jutsu from below, the tip of the sword was drug down underwater from the boy's own jutsu, being pulled out and buried several feet below ground. The very force of this would be enough to rip the handle of the blade out of his hand as it ran out of room to extend from being sucked underground. If the boy's grip was tight enough though he'd just end up flying forward into the water, possibly being sucked down along with the sword. It was unfortunate.

Of course, Kisei was still in the air, at the top of his ten meter jump and just about to fall back down. But he wouldn't fall back down. He preformed three hand seals ~Hare~Dog~Dragon~, in the blink of an eye, each one hand seal being finished before he had even began to fall down. This was his specialty jutsu, one that would be extremely useful in the mist like this. Liquid Phantom's Grasp. The technique instantly caused the chakra infused mist to condense around Kisei's feet, forming into solid hands that resembled his own. Their palms were opened upwards like platforms, and when he rested down on them he was able to use them as platforms to essentially stand on the mist itself. These hands were a copy of his as if they were a water clone, and thus had just as much strength as he did - More than enough to hold his own body weight. With him up 10 Meters in the air now standing on a platform, obscured from vision because of the mist and in an unknown location to his enemy, along with the fact that he could sense where the Suna boy was using sensory abilities - it gave him an advantage of vision and allowing sneak attacks. And since the boy had foolishly let his chakra wire sword be sucked into his own jutsu, he would be left with the choice to abandon his weapon or fly with it to his death. Also, as Kiseichu appeared to have disappeared, the boy had no reason to believe he was still alive, the most likely senerio being that he had been sucked into the ground and killed, giving the illusion of the Mizukage's doom.

There was now little to no chance for the boy's survival. The Kage's next attack would be able to catch him completely off guard and shatter any hope for victory.
