The grin is the first thing noticed when a person lays their gaze on Zancrow. It is one of the most off-setting physical features, and yet the most recognized and easy to tell. Zancrow's manic appearance does not seem to impede interaction with others, and in fact, it is his appearance that attracts others to him. It is the oddity of his physical self that makes people want to know him. He's physically able, not appearing as the most tough of shinobi, but he had some meat on his bones. He has unkempt, shaggy white hair that falls down to his shoulders, light skin, and neon purple eyes. Something that was never explained to him was the seemingly faint surge of energy emanating from his left eye. Whether it has anything special to do with his health or physiology is a mystery.

Zancrow's attire does not stray far from his own air of strangeness. He dons foremost a black long-sleeved shirt with a purple emblem within the top center, the image of his family's crest. Broad purple stripes run down the sides of the shirt as well, with two thin black strips on either side which are closest to the middle of the shirt (which is black). His pants are white, designed with faint black lines running vertically, and the belt that holds it up has a buckle with a crude form of his family's crest. The same symbol appears on the back of his white gloves and on the back of his white hooded sweater (often times he will don a dark gray hooded cloak for the sake of giving his insects room to move and/or being discreet). He stands at the height of 5'9" and weighs in close to 119lbs

Personality: Zancrow is a borderline manic patient (although not quite literally); his energetic and excited personality emanates from his body in such a way that others just have to turn to him and question his mental health. He is, contrary to most belief, in excellent mental health condition, and in good standing physical condition as well. He is a vibrant and jubilant boy, not letting much get to him. He is more interested in curiosity and exploring the unknown world than getting caught up in something permanent and tying down of him (becoming a shinobi loyal to a village was a big step for him). He is strangely adverse to large crowds, much like that of his clan, and finds more rest in the confines of the clan building more than a park. That does not mean that Zancrow would not find it better in a crowd of Aburame, anyhow. He picks his friends and those he feels comfortable around not by choice so much, but more through circumstances that are not in his control. May it be someone who is loud or someone who is quiet as the night, he can get along with just about everyone, because he can act like just about everyone

Story: Zancrow was born under a crescent moon, a sign known by many Aburame members to show that they have been blessed with a special trait within them. Zancrow’s parents, Miyuki and Satoshi, were surprised by this, and made sure their son was well loved by them and everyone else in the clan. They showered him with unconditional love, affection and happiness that made him a happy child. Zancrow was extremely cheerful and proud of his parents, giving them back the love he received from them. He lived in harmonious bliss for much of his childhood, up until his fifth birthday. His uncle, the head of the Aburame clan at the time, decided to start his training to learn his clan’s bloodline limit of Ice Release. Zancrow was reluctant, as he would have to travel away from his parents for years up in the mountains. However, his uncle saw through this ruse and had his parents "murdered" by some higher-up Jounin of Kumogakure no Sato that were hired by his uncle to do the deed.

His uncle arrived, appearing as if he had no clue of the incident, and comforted Zancrow. Zancrow, with his naïve and innocent self, willingly let his uncle train him to become stronger, to protect those who he loved and cared for. Up in the mountains Zancrow trained for eight solid years before returning to the Aburame clan hub. However, he returned on his own, as his uncle had left him to be on his own, knowing that he had given his nephew enough knowledge to continue training on his own. He then stayed by his mother’s sister, where he would stay and retreat to whenever classes at the Kumogakure Academy were over. It was during this time that, under circumstances only known then to his uncle and the other Aburame elders, Zancrow was given a special "blessing". What he had not realized at the time that it was a Curse Mark, which oddly had the exact same image as his family crest. He was told vaguely of him now possessing immense and terrible power, but aside from that he never paid it any more mind.

He awakened one of the Aburame clan's hidden jutsu, to which his aunt expressed great love and understanding. Telling Zancrow of where his parents really were, he fled to Otogakure no Sato where he believed he would be reunited with his absent parents. He found them shopping for groceries, and they were united once more with loving hugs and kisses. They enrolled him within the Otogakure no Sato Academy, hoping that their son would attain some more skills to further his shinobi prowess. It didn't take him long to graduate from the Academy, and from then on decided to learn how to use his hidden clan jutsu.
