Clones

So, when looking at clones, it says that even if you've mastered ninjutsu completely, the most clones you're available to use is 5, which I believe to be completely unfair. I understand, a person with high amounts of chakra could use this to spawn a lot of clones, but is that really that unfair compared to some of the other techniques we have? In a universe with giant demons sealed inside of kids, cursed marks and the such, some of us don't have special chakra increases such as those or the peacock chakra or anything of the sorts. I honestly think there shouldn't be a limit on clones. This would give incentive to come up with new ideas and new techniques usable through battle. Oh, someone has unleashed the one tail? Okay, here's a 10 clones (who would get demolished by it anyways, compared to it's power).

I can understand a limit on genin, seeing as they don't have much chakra to start with. But from sub specialty to mastered+, you only gain 1 more shadow clone, and yet at that point, it will literally only cost 5 chakra to spawn 1. I just think it's unfair to have so many other OP jutsu but this one is nerfed so bad, you'd think it was a football.

I don't see how more clones would give one and incentive for "new ideas and new techniques usable through battle." Also I don't see why you are complaining. The way shadow clones work actually give you more chakra in the long end. Lets say I have a specialty in ninjutsu I can create 4 clones with 1/4 my chakra. I have 440CR so that would give each clone 120 chakra. You basically get your weight in chakra in exchange for 20CR although since we are a specialist it would only be 10CR. Not to mention you have now just increased your numbers and each individual clone can use a different jutsu at the same time.

This is more advantages for us than the system that was used in LR before they introduced this sites system in. At LR each clone only got as much chakra as you but into it and the minimum you could stick in a clone was B-Rank worth of chakra. Tham means 4 clones would cost you an S-Rank of chakra and each clone only has B-Rank chakra worth. Which on this site is 20. In most cases you can make more clones here then you would be able to otherwise and without such a great hindrance to you.

This system and more clones won't work. Unless you make like S-Kinjutsu or something and each clone cost an additional amount of chakra in exchange for no clone limit. That would work. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want shadow clone to be kinjutsu I like it just the way it is.

Loooooooooooooooooool! I dun even care about this whole issue. This clone "system" is dumb, cuz peeps who have Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu are cheated out of NP points. I really don't care about what the chakra benefits are cuz the thought of actually only ever being allowed using that many Shadow Clones is just silly Especially how I made my extra clones. It's not like I made a crazy amount of clones all at 1/2 my chakra. I had other clones make them, meaning they would at best be only a 1/4 of my chakra. I'm not asking to be able to able to be like Naruto and use 10 clones full-powered per attack as a warm-up but being limited to 4 sounds more like fear of clone users more than a need for balance. Clones aren't almighty beings, they disappear if they are hit. And if you can't hit a clone once, then why do you think you can beat the original character, lul.

Whether this topic is recognized or not, it doesn't matter, haha. I'll follow the rules even if I view some as ridiculous. Just think some people read too far in to the power of Shadow Clones. Yes they are phenomenal when used right, but the ones who use clones well will be phenomenal in really any platform. And LOL Kinjutsu are you kidding me? Just for the user to make many clones, what would that do to make them fair use? :') Even just having it A-rank would be fine. Even a master would waste 200 CR per turn trying to have 10 clones out at once.

I'm glad to see everyone all excited about our rules. It means your actively reading and paying attention to them. How excellent. However, such clones will not be changing anytime soon. wait just a quick way to clarify, 1 shadow clone jutsu can create up to 4?
So you spend 20 chakra resources for 4 clones? yes? as long as you create them at the same time? It would make the maths easier

Wait, I thought you were actually giving them a portion of your chakra, like in the canon. Isn't this current setup incredibly unbalanced? Rather than performing a technique above B-rank, you could just whip out a clone and have him perform it for you, saving you a ton of chakra. At the cost of only 4 times a B-ranked amount of chakra, I could have 4 clones lopping an actual dozen of B-ranks at my opponent.

The best canonical example we have of shadow clones, comes from Naruto, who isn't exactly lacking in the chakra department. At one point he created well over 1,000 clones, and they were doing rasangan.

To clarify, a specialist can have up to 4 clones in play, each of them having a total of 1/4 of the chakra. Which is the trade off that I decided when creating them. Instead of people trying to figure out how much to give each clone blah blah blah. You pay 20 CC to get a clone that has 1/4 of the chakra. For the "free" chakra, you can have up to 4 clones in play.

Perhaps you can think of it as a price, but I think its a rather fair/decent system to use, which is why its sticking around

I dun see how its an issue. Sure you cant make a shit load of useless one hit clones but you can make up to 4 clones that potentially have a shit load of chakra that you can use as you please. Kinda the perfect balance..
